The Roar newspaper is an award-winning paper that publishes both in print and online and is currently maintained by a staff of students at A&M Consolidated High School in College Station, TX. Its print edition is published every six weeks and is distributed to over 2000 students, faculty, board members and family members alike.

Established in 2013, The Roar Online is meant to be a supplement to the print edition, featuring breaking news, weekly briefs, videos, blogs, photo galleries and additional content. Opinions expressed are those of the writer and do not necessarily reflect the views of the administration, faculty or staff of the College Station Independent School District.

The Roar is a member of the Interscholastic League Press Conference (ILPC), the National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) and the Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA), and has won the CSPA Gold Crown, the 1997, 1998, 2000-2019, 2021, & 2022 ILPC Award of Distinguished Merit, the CSPA Gold Medal Award, the NSPA All-American distinction and the 2005, 2014, 2016, 2021 & 2022 ILPC Bronze Star and 2007-2013 & 2015 Silver Star.
