1. Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of Whitney Houston, has passed away at the age of 22. She was first found face-down in a bathtub in her home six months ago, and has since then been in a coma.

2.  After failing to have a statue of Baphomet installed near the 10 commandments in Oklahoma, the Satanic Temple decided to have it erected in Detroit, where a secret commencement event was held.

3. Sandra Bland’s autopsy report said that Bland hanged herself using a clear plastic bag tied into a slipknot. Bland died three days after she was arrested for making an improper lane change.

4. Hillary Clinton has agreed to testify again before the House Benghazi committee on October 22. In 2012, four Americans were killed, including an U.S. ambassador, during attacks on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi, Libya.

5. As part of a deal with auto safety regulators, Fiat Chrysler must offer to buy back more than 500,000 Ram pickup trucks from customers. These pickups have been found to have defective steering parts that may cause drivers to lose control of their vehicles.

6. President Obama spoke to a large Kenyan audience at his first presidential visit to the East African country about  government corruption and minority rights. He later met with both political and civil leaders to discuss the country’s current status.

7. British cyclist Chris Froome won this year’s Tour De France. Froome also won the title in 2013, making him one of a few two-time winners.

8. NASA has discovered a “bigger, older cousin” of Earth called “Kepler-452b.” The planet is  60% bigger than Earth and a 385-day orbit around its sun, but lies 1,400 light years away from us.

9. Over 60 unmarked graves and 130 bodies have been found following Mexico’s search for 43 young college men who went missing following a confrontation between the students and police officers.

10. Adam Sandler’s “Pixels” falls far below expectations, bringing in merely $24 million at the box office despite a budget of over $80 million and over-hyped trailers.
