The Lady Tiger soccer team ended their season on Friday after a 4-2 loss in their second round playoff game. While the girls played with a lot of aggression and heart, they did not outmatch the Round Rock Dragons.
The loss means that for many seniors, like Mycah Miller, who scored both goals in the result, and Caroline Rudd, who was a strong playmaking force in the midfield, last night’s game would be their last.
However, the team’s future looks bright, as many freshman, sophomores and juniors put strong performances into the night’s game, and into the season as a whole. One example was goalkeeper sophomore Reagan McGinnis, whose great game was masked by the four goals scored against her team as she made numerous great saves to keep the Tigers in the game.
Miller’s first goal came in the second half after she was brought down in the penalty box, and in result was given a penalty kick which she slotted in perfectly to the left of the keeper’s reach. Later, Miller’s head converted a nice cross into a goal.
