1. On Thursday, the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union. Prime Minister David Cameron, along with numerous other officials, have resigned in the wake of the referendum, which also caused the value of the British Pound to drop to the lowest value in decades.

2. In a 5-3 decision, the Supreme Court overturned the Texas abortion restrictions, known as HB-2, which will likely cause similar restrictions around the US to be ruled unconstitutional.

3. Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders  announced in an interview on Friday that he would vote for fellow candidate Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump.

4. US Rep. John Lewis launched a sit-in at the House of Representatives Wednesday morning that lasted over a day, protesting the unwillingness of the House to vote on gun control measures. Speaker Paul Ryan subsequently adjourned for the July 4 recess.

5. The flight recorder from the EgyptAir crash last month over the Mediterranean has been sent to France for analysis.

6. On Sunday, Pope Francis stated that Christians should apologize to members of the LGBTQ community and others who have been discriminated against; this is the first apology offered by a Pope to the LGBTQ community.

7. College Station Police will begin using body cameras in August to increase accountability and provide additional evidence in criminal cases.

8. In a major scandal, automobile company Volkswagen has agreed to a $14.7 million settlement for cheating on emissions ratings.

9. Solar Impulse, a zero-fuel solar airplane, has successfully crossed the Atlantic Ocean; it landed in Seville, Spain.

10. On Sunday, 10 people were stabbed and several injured as a result of a white supremacist group rally and the resulting counter protesters in Sacramento, California.
