A&M Consolidated has named Prosper head coach Brandon Schmidt as the next head football coach of the Tigers.

Schmidt is 67-24 in his seven seasons as a head coach at 6A Prosper, with seven playoff appearances and two district championships. He led Prosper to a state semi-final appearances in 2022 and three state quarter-final appearances.  

“Brandon is an exceptional football coach and leader,” CSISD superintended Mike Martindale said in a statement. “His record on the field speaks for itself. He will be engaged with the entire Consol athletic department, the entire staff and all of the student body.”

Schmidt’s hiring is set to be approved by the school board at a special meeting at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
