Well, it’s been a minute.
It’s been three weeks since my last post. I can’t say I didn’t miss writing for our website, but this also feels like returning to school after Thanksgiving.
Six weeks later, and now I realize the flaw in counting the weeks of summer. Because the last time I posted, we were on week three, and now we are on week six. (Wow!) I guess it might have seemed like I was counting the number of posts I have released when in reality, I’m actually counting the weeks of hell we have survived. Sorry if that caused any confusion.
Also, side note: I couldn’t be bothered to actually type out everything, so I decided to voice type this week’s post. I am just going to apologize in advance for any weird mistakes you may see.
The piano camp was a lot more fun than I had expected. While surrounded by everyone’s talent that made me feel puny, I learned a lot of things and made many cool friends. Now I feel really inspired to become the next Mozart, and hopefully, I can go back next year.
Y’all know how I said in the last post how I keep meeting random people in random places? Yeah, that happened at camp. And it was mortifying.
I’m only freely saying this because there’s no way he’ll look at this post, but I saw someone I know and we have a long history that goes way back. If one of y’all sends this to him, I will actually commit a crime.
Fun fact: I am actually not writing this on a Sunday night. Extremely impressive, I know. Because I’m going to go to yet another camp this upcoming week, I actually have to finish this post ahead of time so that my “colleagues” can edit this in time for Monday.
I think I’m going to just skip life updates for this post because nothing’s really happened other than me going to camp and getting sick, so I think I’m just going to write say a few of my random thoughts…yeah.
I just going to be honest right here. Yes, I did start this blog thing because I’ve been bored, but it’s mainly because I’m materialistic and our newspaper advisor offered a prize to whoever contributed the most towards this website. I low-key feel like I’m taking over the website with all my unnecessary posts, but it does make me proud to say that the last blog published before I came along was five years ago. And to be fair, Williams did never specify what type of contribution he was looking for, so ha.
Originally, I was going to go to Las Vegas and New York this summer. I was going to take cute aesthetic pictures and put some on this website to kind of show off, but our trip got canceled. so now I’m just stuck with my blogs. I’m fine.
AP scores come out this week and I’m not ready. the last time I took an AP test, it was not pretty and we don’t talk about it. I just want a 3. That’s all I’m asking for. As long as I pass, I will be happy.
The good (and bad) thing is, I won’t be here when the scores get released. Hopefully, my parents won’t beat me to it while I’m gone with no Wi-Fi.
I remember a few years ago at church we all searched up the meanings of our names. Abby = Father’s joy, Ruth = good friend, [insert name] = perfect, joy, love, faith, grace, peace, angel. I remember searching up, “what does the name Emily mean?”
Emily = rival.
Lovely.
I’ve always hated my name because wherever I go because there always seems to be four more Emily’s sitting around. Not only is my name unoriginal, but it also has a stupid meaning to it. Feel free to search up the meaning of your own name, and please tell me if it’s worse than mine.
Remember when I talked about a potential summer reading assignment for English? A few days ago, someone sent me a file titled, “English III AP Summer Reading Assignment.” That message completely disrupted my appetite and my mood for the day.
It took me a week to figure out that the file was dated 2021. Thanks a lot, man.
And that’s it for this week’s post! Voice typing is actually a lot of fun and it gets the job done pretty quick. I recommend this to whoever struggles with writing an essay.
See y’all next week!
P.S. 15 (!!) days until my birthday.
