On Saturday, September 24, the boys’ cross country team raced at the Texas A&M Invitational. The varsity team, captained by senior Matthew Arthur, placed 16th out of 31 overall and 2nd in 5A,; junior Levi Alexander led the runners, placing 34th out of 275 runners. The JV team placed 11th, led by freshman Coleman Maxwell in 32nd place.
“Well, it was a little hot and we went out a little too hard, so we paid for it in the end, but altogether, we raced as a team,” Arthur said. “If the team has a good day, everybody has a good day; if the team doesn’t have a good day, nobody has a good day.”
