1. On Tuesday, a terrorist attack occurred at Atatürk Airport in Istanbul, Turkey, leaving forty-five people dead and 239 people injured. Although no responsibility has been claimed for the attack, ISIL is suspected.

2. After winning the 200-meter butterfly at the U.S. Olympic trials, Michael Phelps became the first American male swimmer to qualify for a fifth Olympics last Wednesday.

3. On Saturday, tens of thousands of European Union supporters marched through central London in a ‘March For Europe’ event, protesting against UK’s Brexit vote.

4. A deadly car crash killed Tesla driver 40-year-old Joshua David Brown in Florida when his car struck a tractor-trailer. The deadly accident, potentially the world’s first fatal accident in which a computer was at the wheel, occurred when the truck turned left across the Tesla’s path and the car’s autopilot failed to slow down.

5. Two 99-million-year-old bird wings preserved in amber were found by an international team of researchers last week in Burma.

6. In a busy shopping district in Baghdad, 126 people were killed and about 150 were injured by a suicide car bomb claimed by the Islamic State group on Saturday. The explosion is the deadliest in Iraq this year, and it marks the third major terrorist attack in a week.

7. Hillary Clinton gave a voluntary interview at FBI headquarters in Washington about her use of a private email server on Saturday. In response, presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump has called for charges to be filed against Clinton, tweeting, “It is impossible for the FBI not to recommend criminal charges against Hillary Clinton.”

8. On Saturday, Germany beat Italy in the joint-longest shootout in European Championship history in the Euro 2016 quarterfinals on Saturday. Germany will move onto the semifinals against France, which will take place Thursday. Portugal and Wales will play against each other in the other semifinals on Wednesday.

9. Elie Wiesel, Holocaust survivor and Nobel Laureate, died Saturday at 87.

1o. On Friday, two people broke into a home and forced the residents to drive around at gunpoint in College Station, Texas.
