1. A Russian plane was shot down over the Syrian border by Turkey. Turkey claims that the plane violated its air space, although Russia denies this.

2. Senior Rachel Tindall was named by the Texas Girls Coaches Association as 4A/5A/6A Team Tennis Female Player of the Year.

3. Three masked men opened fire on a Black Lives Matter protest, injuring five people. The protest was over the alleged police shooting of hand-cuffed man, Jamar Clark , in Minneapolis.

4. A police officer in Chicago, who last year shot a black teenager, has been charged with first-degree murder.

5. Presidential candidate Donald Trump has controversially claimed that New Jersey Muslims cheered after the 9/11 attacks. Officials say that this accusation is unfounded and false.

6. Belgian authorities have taken into custody four of five alleged accomplices in the November 13 Paris attacks. The city of Brussels has been under lock down since Saturday.

7. Two Bengal Belles,  seniors Janie Beyer and Cassidy Lampo were chosen to do a feature performance on the Today Show.

8. Consol students and faculty donated 92 units of blood during the Friday, November 20 Blood Drive.

9. Adele’s “25” has set a record with first week sales. 2.433 million albums have been sold since the album’s release on Friday.

10. According to a new Iowa poll, Ted Cruz has replaced Ben Carson as Donald Trumps primary GOP rival. Trump has 25% support, Cruz has 23% support, and Carson has 18% support.
