1. A car crash at the Oklahoma State killed 3 people and injured 34. 25-year-old Adacia Chambers drove her car into a crowd near the end of the Homecoming Parade. She was arrested under suspicion of a DUI.

2. The New York Mets will face the Kansas City Royals this Tuesday for the first game of the World Series.

3. According to the US Geological Survey, a 7.5 magnitude earthquake struck Southern Asia. Early reports say that over 180 people have been killed.

4. Mark Zuckberg and his wife Priscilla Chan are founding a new school, “The Primary School,” which will be a non-profit K-12 private school in East Palo Alto, California. The school will open in August 2016

5. The trailer for the upcoming “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has amassed over 128 million views in only a single day. LucasFilm claims that over 200,000 tickets were sold in the UK alone.

6. Hurricane Patricia made landfall on October 23rd. Patricia was the highest intensity Pacific hurricane ever, and wind speeds were 200mph at their highest point. The hurricane caused an estimated $188 million.

7. The WHO cancer research unit has new reports saying that processed meat is carcogenic to humans. The study showed that consuming just 50g of processed meat a day can increase cancer rates by 18%.

8. Adele’s new single “Hello” was viewed over 27 million times in 24 hours. This beats the previous record set by Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” which had 20.1 million views.

9. Everywhere from 6 to 11inches of rain was reported all Brazos Valley this weekend. The rain caused major problems including the flooding of Interstate 45 near Corsicana.

10. A fire broke out on the second floor of a Briarwood Apartment across from Post Oak Mall. Two residents were rescued from the burning building, and many apartments received smoke damage.
