Tigers recovered from last week’s defeat to Elkins with a close and suspenseful game against the Huntsville Hornets, winning 44-41.

During the first quarter, the Tigers gained and kept a strong lead, ending the second quarter with a score of 35-20. However, during the third and fourth quarters, the Hornets covered grounds, quickly narrowing the gap between both teams until they took the lead with only 10 minutes left of the fourth quarter at 37-41.

After eight minutes, the Tigers were still down four points with only two minutes left in the game. In an amazing turn of events, the Tigers turned the tide with a 61-yard touchdown, taking back their lead with only a few minutes left. Staying strong, they held their position for the final two minutes and finished with a close score of 44-41.

The Tigers will play Willis on Oct. 2 at Willis High.
