Boys basketball defeats Willis with only seconds to spare

In the last seconds of the game, A&M Consolidated boys’ basketball team pulled past Willis winning the match 56-55 at home. Consol led for most of the game by 16 points at halftime. Then, during the second half Willis slowly cut the lead and finally pulled ahead in the last period. With less than a minute remaining Willis had a one point lead and missed two free throws. Consol grabbed the rebound and scored, taking a one point lead with eight seconds left in the match. Willis missed a last second shot, giving Consol the victory. The boys’ basketball team will play Bryan next at 6:30 on January 27.
