Consol fell 44-56 to Bryan in this year’s Crosstown Showdown, ending its own nine-year winning streak in the series — but there was no shortage of heart from the players and those who supported them. The Tigers scored four times in the third quarter to bring the game within a touchdown and the large crowd to its feet, but a fourth-quarter interception sealed their fate.
