Seniors meet at dawn to commemorate final year with sunrise tradition

At 6:30 a.m. on Friday morning, a couple dozen Consol seniors headed to the soccer practice fields to watch the sunrise together. Senior Sunrise, as the event is called, is an annual tradition hosted by Student Council.

“A lot of people came this year which is really cool. We have a lot of school spirit,” senior class president Devin Graham said. “We watch the sunrise together at the beginning of the year, and at the end of it we’ll watch it set. So it’s like the beginning and end of your senior year happens together.”
