On Friday, January 20, the varsity boys basketball team faced off against the Temple Wildcats. The Wildcats took an early lead in the first quarter, with the Tigers not scoring at all for the first few minutes of the game. Senior Layton Dimery scored Consol’s first shot. Afterwards, the Tigers picked up momentum, claiming a 22-21 lead in the second quarter. Consol continued to pull ahead in the third quarter, ending at 43-37.

In the final quarter, however, Temple put the Tigers back on edge. The Wildcats started to catch up, maintaining a gap of 1 or 2 points until finally tying the game 45-45 with about 5 and a half minutes left to go. The Tigers regrouped in the last few tense minutes, claiming victory with a final score of 63-54.
