1. On Monday, Amazon decided to make a new line of stores, Amazon Go. People will have access to grocery products with grab and go shopping where no lines or checkout areas are needed.

2. On the 6th, industry leaders urged president-elect Donald Trump to make approval of the disputed Dakota Oil Pipeline, but the spokesman for Trump has not said or given any clues on what his decision as President will be.

3. On December 10th, in Nigeria a roof of a crowded church fell on top of the worshippers, killing approximately 160 people. It was still under construction as the workers were trying to finish on time for Saturday’s ceremony for the founder Akan Weeks.

4. Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos accepted the Nobel Peace Prize as he talked about how it would have been impossible without ending the half century long civil war in Colombia.

5. On Saturday night, there was a bombing that killed 38 people outside of a football stadium in Central Istanbul.

6. President Obama sent out his last Christmas card from the White House which included his two daughters Malia and Sasha and his wife, Michelle. As Obama’s term comes to an end, this picture left many social media users emotional.

7. Earlier this week, Astronaut John Glenn passed away at the age of 95. Glenn was most well known for being the first American to orbit the Earth.

8. A U.S. surgeon general has stated that E-cigarettes, also known as “vaping”, are becoming a health threat to many of the nation’s younger people. They have become more common than tobacco products.

9. A petition was called upon earlier as more than 106,000 people signed to reduce Chelsea Manning’s, who had admitted in leaking secret military and government documents, prison sentence.

10. Today, Italy’s Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni was elected as the next premier and promising to create a new coalition with the same Democratic Party led majority.
