On Friday, November 4, the Consol Tigers won their last home game of the 2016-2017 season against Rudder in a landslide of 59-20. Despite a few penalties for being offsides, sophomore and wide receiver Stevie Ray quickly scored the first touchdown of the night for Consol in the first quarter. Three minutes later, junior and quarterback Cade Williams made a run for the endzone, bringing the score to 14-0.

The Tigers continued to increase their lead quickly during the first half, with touchdowns by senior and running back Robert Franklin, senior and wide receiver Tony Williams and a catch by freshman and wide receiver Brian Darby. Additionally, Consol scored a field goal in the last seconds of the second quarter, bringing the score to 38-0.

15 seconds into the second half, junior and wide receiver Aaron Campbell scored a touchdown to increase the lead to 45-0. He was swiftly followed by senior and linebacker Tyon Merchant, who brought the score to 52-0. Rudder, however, attempted to even out the score slightly by scoring their first touchdown of the night during the third quarter. To compensate, junior and defensive back Aaron Campbell scored a touchdown; Rudder followed with two more touchdowns to round out the game with a score of 59-20 to Consol.

The Rudder football game was also Senior Night for the Tiger Band, the Bengal Belles, the athletic trainers and the football team; each senior walked onto the field with their family to end their years at Consol.
