Tigers fall to Temple in Homecoming game 34-22

by Haley Mitchell, managing editor

In their Homecoming game last Friday, September 30, Consol took on the Temple Wildcats at home.

Though the first half of the first quarter was merely a game of keepaway, Temple scored the first touchdown of the game on a twenty yard run. Almost a minute later, Consol bit back with a touchdown of their own, though by the end of the first temple had scored again.

Senior Jason Jasperson’s pass interception and brought the score back to a 14-14 tie early in the second quarter, though the first half ended in 27-16. Despite an attempted two-point conversion, the Tigers scored their final touchdown of the game late in the third quarter and eventually fell to Temple 32-22.

This game leaves Consol 3-2 in the district. The Tigers will be playing CSHS at their stadium on Friday, October 7 this week.
