Underneath the harsh glare of the field lights, Consol’s men’s soccer team took on the Huntsville Hornets, winning 2-0. For the first half, both teams were evenly matched; the Lads came close several times to making a goal, while goalie and senior Allen Lambert successfully blocked the Hornets’ attempts to score. The Lads closed the first half with their first goal. During the second half, the Lads gained their second point early on and held onto their lead for the rest of the match.
The Lads will be playing Rudder on Monday, March 21st at 7 pm. The girls’ soccer team will be taking on Bryan on Friday, February 26th at 7 pm.
