1. David Bowie died at 69 yesterday. Bowie was the same age as presidential frontrunner Donald Trump is now.

3. On Saturday in Robertson county, an Atmos gas line exploded, leading to the evacuation of many residential homes in the area. Since then, the gas line has been shut off, allowing the fire to burn itself out.
4. Mexican drug lord El Chapo, or Joaquin Guzman, was caught on Friday, two days after a secret interview with Hollywood star Sean Penn. Five were killed in the operation to kill Guzman, and since his capture, Guzman has been returned to the maximum security prison from whence he escaped last July.
5. Today, an aid convoy reached the rebel-held town of Madaya, Syria, delivering vital medicines and food to those who have been residing there since October.
6. The Playboy Mansion is now on the market for $200 million, although Playboy founder Hugh Hefner must be allowed to live in the mansion for the rest of his life, according to the sale terms.
7. As of today, the Powerball jackpot is sitting at $1.4 billion. Saturday marked the 19th draw with no winner, making its current total the largest in US history. Tickets are only $2, although odds of winning are 1 in 292 million.
8. On Saturday, Consol’s Science Olympiad won an invitational at Hendrikson High School. Results can be found here.
9. Bad news if you stand with Rand: Republican hopeful Rand Paul was bumped from the main stage of Fox’s Business-hosted debates due to dropping poll numbers in their network analysis. Paul is boycotting the undercard and will not make an appearance in either debate on Thursday.
10. Also on Saturday, several students placed in Consol’s annual UIL invitational meet. District meets for UIL will be held in April.
