In the second-ever football game against CSHS, Consol fell to the Cougars 24-17. Despite high hopes and high spirit from a bustling student section and some good plays from the Tigers, the final score was sealed early in the third quarter.

Shortly into the first quarter the Cougars forced a Tiger fumble, bringing the score to 7-0 and shortly adding three points later in the quarter with a field goal.

The first half was concluded with another Cougar touchdown and Consol’s first touchdown of the night, bringing the score to 17-7.

After halftime the Cougs intercepted a Tiger pass and led 24-10 until senior Rodney Jernigan’s seven yard pass reception in the endzone brought the score to its final 24-17.
