The Roar asked freshman Madison Schultz about her preparation for modeling in the upcoming Invisible Children fashion show on Feb. 1.

Why did you try out for the fashion show?

I decided to try out because the coordinators asked me to and I thought it was for a good cause.

What do you like about being in the fashion show?

I love hanging out with my friends, and having laughs and walking good.

What do you do to prepare for the fashion show?

We need to be more serious about it.

What do you do at practices?

Well, the models mostly goof off when they’re not walking, but lately we’ve been taking it more seriously, so we walk and have fun.

Do you do formations?

We have four formations, and we go over them each practice.

When is the show?

This Saturday, Feb. 1, at 7 p.m.

What are you most excited for about the show?

I am excited to see how it all turns out and have fun.

What’s the fashion show for?

All the money goes to Invisible Children and the club decides what they want to use it on such as scholarships or building schools and other things.

What is Invisible Children?

It’s a non-profit organization that helps work against Kony, who abducts children and brainwashes them to be his child soldiers. Invisible Children helps build schools, radio towers to warn of attacks and scholarships for the people in Uganda.

To see Madison and many other models in the fashion show, come to the school auditorium on Feb. 1 at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased from a model or a coordinator for $6 before the show, as well as for $8 at the door.
