Crafting wildly catchy pop anthems is what Lady Gaga does best. And in that respect, her new album “ARTPOP” doesn’t disappoint.

Today, “ARTPOP” will be released publicly. However, it was available streaming through iTunes Radio for Gaga fans who just couldn’t wait for the Nov. 11 release date. The album features 14 songs touching on themes of lust and addiction–some of which have been previously released as singles, such as “Do What U Want,” “Applause,” and “Venus.”

While the songs are particularly catchy–especially “Fashion!”, which makes you want to head straight for the catwalk–none stand out as particularly different from songs on her earlier albums. “Dope” is slower, more of a ballad, but similar in feel to “You And I” from the album “Born This Way.” Still, most of the album (even the song for which the album is named, “ARTPOP”) sounds vaguely familiar because it simply isn’t that different from her other music.

Still, Gaga fans will rejoice, because Lady Gaga really does stay true to what she does best: she makes music that you can dance to, that’ll get stuck in your head, with memorable lyrics and fun, upbeat melodies.

In short: no song on “ARTPOP” is going to blow your mind, but if you listen to it while you’re getting ready in the morning, you’ll have a hard time not strutting out the door. Even if just for strutting purposes, it’s worth a listen.

Have a look at one of the songs from “ARTPOP,” “Applause.”

Give the rest of “ARTPOP'” a shot: it’s available on iTunes.
